Which model of Beats do you have?

All headband models have marking on the side of the headphones where they fold.

Photos below show the models and where they are marked. All models made by Apple (post 2014 manufacturing) have a model # located on the inside of the right hinge. Model made before that have lot numbers which are located on the bottom of the left has side on the swivel or inside panel. Having a serial number does not necessarily mean your pair is authentic; here's an article helping ID fake Beats.

Headphones 

The following models have a serial number located on the inside of the right hinge. This only applies if the model was manufactured after 2014. Studio 2 Wired. Studio 2 Wireless. Solo 2 Wired. Solo 2 Wireless. Solo 3 Wireless. Studio 3 Wireless.

Earphones
Check the cable next to your right earbud. This is true for the Powerbeats 2 Wired, UrBeats, Tour 2, and Powerbeats 2 Wireless.

The serial number located on the inside of the middle point of the wire.

Portable Speakers

Check the rubber strip on the bottom of your speaker.

Pull back the rubber strip on the back of your speaker and look above the USB port.

Check the power module near the right earbud.

Beats EP (prior to July 2017)

Check the attached cable near the left earcup.

Check the attached cable.
