How to Identify Your Beats Model: A Comprehensive Guide

Wondering which Beats model you own? It's easy to find out! All Beats headband models have identifying markings on the side of the headphones, specifically where the headband folds.

Model Identification Tips:

1. Post-2014 Beats by Apple: Look for a model number inside the right hinge. All Beats headphones manufactured after Apple acquired the brand in 2014 will have this model number.

2. Pre-2014 Beats Models: Before Apple’s acquisition, Beats used lot numbers, which can be found on the bottom of the left ear cup’s swivel or inside panel.

To locate the serial number for your Beats earbuds, check the cable next to the right earbud. This applies to the following models:

How to Find the Serial Number on Your Powerbeats 3 Wireless

For the Powerbeats 3 Wireless, the serial number is located on the inside of the wire at the middle point.

To locate the serial number on your Beats Pill 2.0, check the rubber strip on the bottom of the speaker.

To locate the serial number on your Beats Pill+, pull back the rubber strip on the back of the speaker and look above the USB port.
