How to Identify Your Bose Product and Locate the Serial Number

The fastest way to identify your Bose product is to use Bose's built-in product identifier. Follow the link here for easy identification.

Locating the Serial Number

Most Bose serial numbers are located on the back or bottom of the product, near a barcode. Serial numbers are typically 17 digits long (or 4 digits for some headphones), and can include both letters and numbers. For products compatible with the Bose Connect app, Bose Music app, Bose Sleep app, or Bose Hear app, you can find the serial number under Settings > Product Info.

For Bose Headphones:

• In-Ear: Look for a 4-digit code on the earbud body or ear tip (remove the silicone tip if needed).
• Around-Ear: The 17-digit serial number is inside the earcup. Lift the inner fabric to view it.
• On-Ear: Check the headband for a 4-digit code. If not, remove the cushion to find the 17-digit serial number on the earcup. For rechargeable models, remove the battery and check inside the battery compartment.

For some Bose headphones, the serial number is located inside the battery compartment (right earcup). To see it, remove the rechargeable battery and look inside the empty compartment.

Knowing your Bose serial number is crucial for product registration, warranty claims, and verifying authenticity.
